J NOLAN-Distinction (Mixtape)

J Nolan is doing hurdles on you turtles. This mixtape made me believe of Lupe Fiasco’s early stuff–it seems young as well as exciting, the lyrics are witty as well as fresh–he’s not stealing bars or rhymes from any individual who came before him, not even under the guise of “tribute.” So lots of new rappers borrow heavily from their predecessors, however J Nolan is 100% original.
